As the only children’s hospital in British Columbia, the major focus of the Department of Pediatrics is the provision of secondary and tertiary care for the children and youth of British Columbia. Clinical care is provided within 21 divisions and additional multidisciplinary clinics and programs. Clinical care is primarily provided within BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH), located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The BCCH facility has 250 acute care beds, an adolescent unit, a modern isolation facility, a rehabilitation unit, a 10-bed psychiatric unit and a 60-bed special care nursery..
