The International Research Symposium Centred on Understanding and Preventing Infection in Children will be held at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute from April 27-28 2017. This research symposium is being held to celebrate the research career of Dr. David Speert at BC Children’s Hospital and UBC over the past 35 years. During his time here, David has made outstanding and sustained contributions in broad field of pediatric infectious disease and specifically in innate immunity, with a focus on rare diseases and cystic fibrosis microbiology.
