In preparation for the construction of the new Acute Care Centre, all Access to Shaughnessy A wing has been permanently closed. Access to L wing Anatomic Pathology remains accessible through Door 45 and from Shy E wing; all other access points are closed. The breezeway (north glass hallway) between the Shaughnessy building and the BC Children’s Hospital & BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre main building (by the respiratory department) has been permanently closed.

All Internal traffic between Shaughnessy and the Children’s and Women’s main building (staff, patient, visitor, food delivery, housekeeping, etc.) must use the south glass hallway on level 1, passing by the cafeteria and travel through the main corridor in Children and women’s. Please see attached map above.
