Congratulations to Dr. Katelynn Boerner! She has been awarded the 2025 IASP SIG Pain in Childhood Early Career Award in Pediatric Pain Research from the International Association for the Study of Pain.
This award recognized Dr. Boerner’s outstanding contributions in pediatric pain research within 10 years of attaining her PhD or last postgraduate degree.
She has demonstrated a strong track record in pediatric pain research, with an impressive h-index of 15, 45 peer-reviewed publications, 4 book chapters, and over 75 oral presentations, supported by extensive funding and awards, including the Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist Program and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation Mental Health Fellowship.
