RICHER was presented with the John McCreary Prize for Interdisciplinary Teamwork at the UBC Health Awards.
A number of our pediatric colleagues from BCCH and UBC faculty have been and continue to be deeply involved in the RICHER social pediatrics initiative (Drs. Christine Loock, Judy Lynam, Eva Moore, Dzung Vo, Myles Black, and Wingfield Rehmus, in addition to a talented and very committed team of Nurse Practitioners.
RICHER is an important link for BCCH to the community of Vancouver and has enabled us to develop long standing relationships with multiple community agencies and families, be more responsive to the needs of adolescents presenting to the ED and provide a rich training and education environment for medical students, pediatric residents and others.
