Drs. Matt Carwana, Mariana Brussoni and their team (Lisa Ritland, Rabia Mir and Britt Udall) were awarded a $300,000 grant from the Vancouver Foundation to do a community-based participatory action project around early childcare. Together with the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) and the Emily Carr Health Design Lab, this project will look at the importance of early childcare, education and the impact on well-being.
