Career Day

On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, Drs. Stephanie Erdle and Catrina Loucks were part of a panel presentation discussing how to navigate an Academic Career.

Career Day is an annual event organized by the Research Education Services team of BCCHR. This event provides research trainees in the UBC Faculty of Medicine with the opportunity to connect and network with professionals working in a variety of different careers.

Her primary areas of clinical and research interest are in food allergy, oral immunotherapy, eosinophilic esophagitis, food protein induced enterocolitis syndrome and allergic contact dermatitis.

Dr. Catrina Loucks, Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology & Therapeutics at UBC

Her work allows for more individualized risk-benefit decisions for pain management in children, while also contributing to the discovery of novel components of pain response pathways that could pave the way for improved pain management strategies with increased safety and effectiveness.
