Celebrating International Women’s Day: #EmbraceEquity

Today, on March 8 2023, we celebrate International Women’s Day. Please join us in recognizing the incredible accomplishments and contributions of the women in the Department of Pediatrics – faculty, staff and learners. This year’s theme #EmbraceEquity, is a critical topic in child health for our patients, families and communities.

Gender-based discrimination harms everyone. International Women’s Day is a call to action.

Our Department is committed to providing the highest quality of clinical care across the province; continuing to strive for scholarly excellence; as well as, creating a work environment that is rooted in compassion and respect.

Over the next five years, we pledge to advocate for health justice and health equity within our community, in the province and beyond.

Please join our efforts towards advancing gender equality and empowerment.

With sincere and personal thanks,
Caron & Steven
