Dr. Miller was just recently nominated to the Royal Society of Canada | Class of 2022.
Membership in the RSC is Canada’s highest academic honour that an individual can achieve in the Arts, Social Sciences and Sciences.
On Friday, November 25, 2022, the RSC will welcome the Class of 2022 new RSC Fellows and new Members of the RSC College and present awards for outstanding research and scholarly achievement.
The College consists of mid-career leaders who provide the RSC with a multigenerational capacity to help Canada and the world address major challenges and seize new opportunities including those identified in emerging fields.
“The Royal Society of Canada is delighted to welcome this outstanding cohort of artists, scholars and scientists. These individuals are recognised for their exceptional contributions their respective disciplines and are a real credit to Canada,” says RSC President Jeremy McNeil.
I am so excited to have been elected as a Fellow and Member to the Royal Society of Canada for my team’s work in Neonatal Neurology. This recognition is especially meaningful to me at this point in my career, especially with my return to Vancouver, UBC and BC Children’s Hospital this past Spring.
I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Jana Davidson, Chief Medical Officer for BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre, Ms. Sarah Bell, Chief Operating Officer of BC Children’s Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Centre and Mr. Malcolm Berry, President & CEO, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation for our work together thus far.
