Dr. Loock is the 2018 recipient of the Janusz Korczak Medal for Children’s Rights Advocacy.
Dr. Christine Loock a Developmental Pediatrician at BC Children’s Hospital. She led and inspired the development of the RICHER Social Pediatrics program to target specialized medical and health services for children and youth in the lowest income communities of Vancouver. Social Pediatrics has emerged as a significant educational and training site for medical students and pediatric residents to gain more intimate experience in the challenging social conditions in which many children grow up and prepare them for their future careers.
