The Provincial Pediatric Oncology Hematology Network, in conjunction with the Division of Pediatric Oncology Hematology BMT is committed to provide ongoing educational and discussion opportunities to support physicians and health care providers in the care of the child/adolescent with cancer and hematological disorders. This education day has been developed to reflect the needs of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals in the care of children with cancer and hematological disorders. There will be opportunity for dialogue, discussion and question and answer throughout the program.
The morning session includes the Grand Rounds with guest speaker Dr. Doug Diekema on the topic “When Parents and Providers Disagree: Understanding & Responding to Conflicts in the Care of Children”.
