Letter of Invitation to Participate in Child and Maternal Health Knowledge Transfer

CISEPO Memo attachment[5]

The Canada International Scientific Exchange Program (www.cisepo.ca) has been successfully delivering its mission as a Canadian NGO in improving healthcare systems globally by capacity building and the development of networks of peaceful professional cooperation in the health sector for many years. Our emphasis has been on medical education and training through knowledge transfer and addressing major needs-based public health issues emanating from partners abroad.

Over the past decade CISEPO has additionally been working to assist in the coordination of a Canadian-led movement of knowledge transfer in the health sector, recognizing the social determinants of health and the many major public health issues confronting societies. CISEPO and partners have utilized telehealth and on the ground projects to allow for relevance and implementation of the consistently delivered knowledge transfer.

A few years ago, some leads of Continuing Professional Development from Faculties of Medicine across Canada wrote letters of commitment to future possible engagement in this emerging project that demonstrated, among other things, the importance of international outreach providing evidence-based knowledge through continuing education/professional development in developing countries.

The project has now come to fruition supported by a determined amount of money earmarked for the Child and Maternal global movement led by the Government of Canada. A call has gone out globally to confirm interest in global healthcare and in turn your interest in participation.

Our request is for you, if you wish, to update your interest or state your new interest so that the Government of Canada and other international entities can be aware of your intent to engage in on the ground project activity and the delivery of international healthcare to further this important initiative in child and maternal health.

Please address your letters of interest/commitment to me at arnold.noyek@utoronto.ca with copy to:

Dr. Shawna Novak, Director, Canada International Scientific Exchange Program (CISEPO), at snovak@cisepo.ca

We look forward, with thanks, to working with you in this exciting knowledge sharing partnership.

Yours sincerely
