We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Pernille Faaborg-Anderson as Clinical Instructor, Division of General Pediatrics. Originally from Montreal, Dr. Faaborg-Anderson attended Medical School at McGill University. She relocated to British Columbia to complete her pediatric training at the University of British Columbia with the intention of returning to Montreal upon completion of her residency. However, during her four years at UBC, she grew to love Vancouver and all it has to offer for an active person and outdoor enthusiast. During her training, she had wonderful mentors who displayed a real passion for teaching, which in turn inspired her to teach future trainees.
Since completing her training in 2013, she has been doing locums throughout Vancouver and on Vancouver Island. She has very much enjoyed the opportunities to be exposed to a variety of work environments, as well as opportunities to teach residents and medical students. Beginning this summer, she will be involved in locum work at BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital and at Richmond Hospital, and looks forward to working on a more consistent basis with trainees.
