Dr. Anita Datta obtained her medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and completed her Pediatric Neurology residency at the University of Alberta. She then went on to a Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital – HarvardUniversity. Prior to joining BC Children’s Hospital, she held clinical and faculty positions in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at both the University of Calgary and the University of Saskatchewan. Her primary clinical interest is epilepsy and its surgical management. Her research on epilepsy surgery and neuropsychological outcomes, have generated peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She is also interested in medical education, having last served as Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Neurology Residency Training Program at the University of Calgary. In her free time, she loves to travel, visit art galleries, listen to music, and read.
