Celebrate Research Day

The Department of Pediatrics Research Day is an Education Day focused on our trainees’ research. It is held each March at the BCCH site. Research Day begins with Grand Rounds and includes Advances in Pediatrics. The program is largely comprised of research presentations by Pediatric Residents, Subspecialty Residents and Fellows.

Attendance is mandatory for trainees. The day offers opportunity for trainees to present their research in a formal setting to peers, faculty, educators, health care professional and researchers. There is a formal abstract submission process and deadline. Abstracts are included in the Research Day Program handout. Trainees may present their research in progress or completed research projects. They may also compete for the best resident and best fellow paper. The resident and fellow winning this local competition are provided protected time and funding to advance to compete at the Annual National Pediatric Resident and Fellow Research Competition held in Winnipeg, Manitoba each May. Our 2015 Celebrate Pediatric Research Day will be held on March 6, 2015.
