Biography:
Dr. Julia Panczuk is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Department of Pediatrics and a clinical neonatologist with the Division of Neonatology, BC Women’s Hospital since 2014. She completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of British Columbia and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at the University of Toronto. She is chair of the Neonatal Nutrition Committee, a member of the NeoCHIRP team for children with intestinal failure, as well as a member of the Children’s and Women’s Research Ethics Board and the Neonatal Follow-up Program. Her main area of clinical and academic interest is neonatal nutrition, including the microbiome and probiotic use, and best practices for enteral and parenteral nutrition to optimize the developmental outcomes of vulnerable newborns.
