Congratulations to Dr. Dianna Louie!

louieDr. Dianna Louie is one of the recipients of the inaugural UBC Postgraduate Faculty and Staff Wellness Award that honours faculty and staff members in Postgraduate Medical Education who demonstrate leadership in resident wellness. All residents across the province were invited to nominate a staff or faculty member for the award. This award recognizes faculty and staff members at any site across the province who:

– display commitment to promoting and advocating for a healthy residency experience;
– consider all aspects of a resident’s well-being;
– lead by example and model wellness in daily life;
– take a leadership role in influencing the culture of wellness in their department/program.

“Dr. Louie goes above and beyond for the pediatric residents, and is more than deserving for this award. She is our staff, our mentor, and most importantly, a strong advocate for the resident body.” – Resident

“Over the last 2 years that Dr. Dianna Louie has been staff, she has shown continued dedication and commitment to resident well-being. She is the staff liaison for the pediatric wellness initiative, and provides staff support for the quarterly ice-cream rounds, and the bi-annual wellness dinners. More recently, she hosted a wellness journal club and organized yoga for 60 residents in the park.” – Resident
