Dr. Sim Grewal
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sim Grewal to the Department of Pediatrics, Emergency Department at the rank of Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Grewal is also the Medical Director for the Emergency Department at BC Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Grewal received her medical degree from the University of British Columbia in 1999. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Alberta in 2003 and fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine in 2005 also at the University of Alberta. During her residency program, she was Pediatric Chief Resident. Dr. Grewal joined the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta in 2005 as staff and served as the Assistant Director of the Pediatric Emergency Department at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton from 2010 onwards. Dr. Grewal was an Associate Professor with the University of Alberta, and has been extensively involved with presenting, teaching, and curriculum development of U of A’s Pediatric Emergency Medicine Residency Program. She also has a considerable publication record.
Dr. Grewal is happy to be returning to Vancouver, and is very excited to join the Department of Pediatrics and the Pediatric Emergency Division at BCCH.
