Cerner eChart Launch and Training

If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to get your PowerChart account, do the necessary training, and log in to Cerner today to start viewing lab results, reports, and other clinical information.

Go to LearningHub: (https://learninghub.phsa.ca/)and look for the Cerner (eChart): All Clinicians and Staff – eLearning Curriculum where you can register for the courses you need to complete. And, just a reminder to those folks who have completed the training but have not yet logged on, please do so. The project team wants to ensure you can access your account.

Cerner PowerChart (eAmbulatory SummaryChart): Basics

This is required for all physicians and staff to get a PowerChart account and view clinical information. If you already have an account, you’ve already completed the course.

PowerChart: Message Center – Inbox

This is a new required course for all clinicians and staff. You’ll learn how to send secure messages to colleagues through Cerner. This is a new, secure alternative to email.

Cerner PowerChart (eChart): DROP IN – Practice and Play

This module is for Dictating Authors only, in preparation for the Transcription go-live later in June. You can sign up for a drop-in session to get some hands-on experience signing documents in Cerner. Help from a clinical trainer is also available. Several one-hour sessions are available starting this week.

PowerChart: Message Centre – Signing Transcribed Documents

This too is for Dictating Authors only and is a required course. You’ll learn how to sign transcribed reports in Cerner.

If you work in an early adopter Ambulatory Clinic, please contact eChart@phsa.ca or your clinic Champion / Leaders for links to your Ambulatory specific eLearning Curriculum and classroom training.
