Welcome to Dr. Katey Armstrong

The Department of Pediatrics, University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine and Pediatric Medicine, BC Children’s Hospital are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Katey Armstrong

Dr. Armstrong obtained her Bachelor of Science & Undergraduate Medical Degree (MBChB) from the University of Aberdeen in 2002. She completed her Pediatric training from the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2013, having spent 2 years devoted to obtaining her Research MD between 2010 and 2012. She completed her Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at UBC with advanced training in Heart Function and Transplant at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Armstrong has been recruited to the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UBC and a Pediatric Cardiologist specializing in Heart Function and Heart Transplant. Dr Armstrong enjoys teaching and hopes to become a mentor for cardiology fellows. Her academic interests are rooted in the field of autonomic dysfunction and heart transplant.

Outside of work she loves to spend time with her family, and enjoys all that BC has to offer especially the skiing!
