Dr. Seaton joined the department on August 1, 2016 as a Clinical Associate in the Division of Respiratory Medicine.
Dr. Claire Seaton graduated from Oxford University Medical School in 2000 and did her residency and fellowship in London and Oxford specializing in General Pediatrics with a special interest in Respiratory Pediatrics and PICU. She has also worked in New Zealand, Kenya and Vancouver (Respiratory Fellow 2012-2013). Research experience includes ciliary functional analysis, measurement of regional ventilation in children post lobectomy and antibiotic pharmacokinetics in Kenyan children. She has had a longstanding interest in quality improvement and management, carrying out projects ranging from variations in palivizumab prescribing to a recent successful business case to expand her local allergy service. She is an active medical educator at a local and national level, including a certified Advanced Pediatric Life Support Instructor.
